never ending sale!

Currently tweeting my friend about the topshop sale! She is a huge fashion lover (like myself) and we can't wait to hit Chester tomorrow and spend our £££ in the topshop sale. I know what you are thinking..."the topshop sale has been on for agessss!" BUT apparently a new summer sale starts tomorrow! There is a exclusive sale on the website for 24 hours, afterwhich the sale hits the high street stores...meaning tomorrow! Yayyy!

Okay, so what to buy? No doubt it will be full of floral skirts and sheer shirts and, looking at the online sale, I can't say I am far off. What I love about the stores though is that they often have clothes that are not featured on the website, so hopefully I will find some lovely items that I have not already seen online. Oh, and I don't intend on buying anything that is even remotely floral! I am actually looking to buy something that I can wear on a night out. I am going to a gig with my friends on friday and ideally I need something that is casual but also cute. My style is quite laid back and I am not the girly type. I also need something that I don't mind stinking of smoke by the end of the night, or that would get ruined by the smoke. Not to mention there is always the possibility of getting a cigarette burn in it (as my friend knows all too well!)

So wish me luck on my endevours...hopefully I can find something suitable! I will no doubt do a post on my outfit (if I find one) so WATCH THIS SPACE!

Are you looking forward to the new topshop summer sale? Where do you go on your nights out? and what do you wear?

the summer sale!

No doubt everyone is already aware of the summer sales currently gracing the highstreet stores from Topshop to peacocks! This post is basically about the clothes that I bought a few weeks back in the sales and how I created lovely outfits with them (with a little help from pre-existing clothes)

I got this cute aztec print top from Topshop in the sale for about £10, which is a bargin compared to the usual prices! I had actually been wanting this top for a while but never had money to buy it. Thus I was thougherly pleased when I walked into topshop and saw it in the sale AND I had plenty of money to spend as I had saved up to buy some clothes for my holiday! Here I am wearing it with a cross necklace which I also got half price in the Topshop sale at £7 (I nearly kicked myself when I went into topshop a few days ago and saw that the necklace was reduced further to £2.50!) I am also wearing denim shorts that I bought from matalan, however I customised them myself by frayings the ends and cutting into them, I also added studs! You can't really see it too well but i am also wearing a brown plaited belt that I bought from Dorothy Perkins last summer :) I think this is a perfect summer outfit for chilling out in the sun or going for a stoll around town!

This next outfit would be ideal for a trip to the beach, or for relaxing outside a cafe with friends, maybe even a shopping trip? I think you could add to this outfit by wearing a cute straw hat and shades to make it look even more summery. Here I am wearing a white kimono cardigan that I got for £20 in the Topshop sale. It is a size 12 (I am a size 8) so it is a little big, but I quite like the 'over size' look and it looks really cool when you tie a belt around the waist like I have done with my plaited belt from Dorothy Perkins. My shirt is from Urban Outfitters and I also got it in the sale, but a few months back. It is probably my favourite tee at the moment and I love the design on the front. It has a picture of a triangle on it with the words 'bizzar love triangle' written across it in the shape of another triangle. You can't really see my shorts very well, but they are from h&m. I have hardly worn them because I could never find anything to go with them, but I love this outfit so now I shall be able to get my moneys worth! My necklace is from Matalan and has a blue stone pendant and a little golden bird hanging from the chain, my aunty gave me this as a present and I love it! I also love my ring, which was from boots (I saw the same one in topshop for double the price so I was very happy that I got it cheaper, haha!)
As you can see I am wearing my favourite tee from Urban Outfitters and you get a better view of it in this picture, haha! I am wearing it with a pink cardigan that i got in the topshop sale for £15! Again it is a size 12 but as i said before, I like baggy cardigans :) I am wearing high waisted shorts from primark in the outfit. They are quite a light blue which I think looks very nice with the pink! I lso managed to match the colour of my cardy to the colour of my necklace which is from Dorothy Perkins. It is a pink stone pendant on a long gold chain. Again I am wearing my ring from boots and I am also wearing my Pandora bracelet too. I have the leather plaited strap that wraps around twice which I prefer to the normal silver ones. I have to thank my friends for that as they all chipped in and got it me for my birthday, as well as a silver Pandora owl charm because they are my favourite animal! Haha! This is a very casual outfit that you could wear pretty much anywhere!

What do you think of my summer outfits? Did you have any luck in the summer sales this year?

Fed up of Floral

I really must be a miserable person. Summer is barely halfway through and already I am desperate to get back into autumn/winter wear. I can honstly say that I loath summer fashion. Everywhere I look there is floral print and, I have to say, I am getting quite bored. It doesn't take a genius to predict that florals will be a big hit in summer, but honestly, can we please move onto something new. Admittedly I was pleasently supprised to see that some highstreet stores did have some tribal inspired clothing (thank god, I have been after tribal prints since last summer) but alas there are very few to pick from.

This summer I was hoping the highstreet stores would be packed with prints inspired by exotic lands, culture and history, but it seemed only a certain few got the memo about the 'traveler trend'. I did notice a a few stores cought on and I did get to perchase a cute aztec style printed crop top from Topshop, infact I almost bought an aztec print skirt as well...but it my funds had been wiped out. I have seen a cheaper one in Newlook though, so I have a feeling I may own an aztec print skirt in the near future...

So is it just me that feels this way? Maybe I am just going crazy from all the sun (or lack of in England!) Any thoughts?
